Obon vacation was now 2nd half...I went to Osu. It was so hot that I don't work radio so much...
I watched DX cluster, I found ZP6CW on 20m CW. I called him and QSO at 0700Z. After that, I could find RG20CA 1kHz up from ZP. I called him and worked at 0714Z. Then I found LA5FHA 2kHz down from R. I called him but no return...sigh. I could hear him 559 so I thought I could do it...
16th Aug.
It was a last day of Obon vacation. I went to Nagoya station and walk around. I have to go to work tomorrow...
At night, I watched DX cluster, JW/OE9JDV Didi was submitted on 20m SSB. I could work him at 1141Z. I thought I hardly can work him but I could. After that I found MM0EAX on 15m SSB and called him but I couldn't get return from him. Then I found UA3PQ Nikolay on 15m SSB and QSO at 1359Z. I can do work with DXs on SSB even with 50W ! I should work with SSB a lot more. So I called HZ1BL on 15m SSB from 1410-1420Z but I could not get him...
After that, I found F6EAZ Chris on 17m CW and get him at 1423Z. Then I called JY5HX from 1430-1447 but no return...
20th Aug.
My wife Rumi went to her countryside due to her father's health get worse, so I spent a lonely night. Before going to bed, I found G7EMK on 17m SSB. I thought I could get him but no return...sigh.
21st Aug.
I got up then watched 15m CW, PY2YU Tom sending a strong signal to JA. I called him and picked up at 0147Z. He lives near Sao Paulo. After that, I called OX3KQ submitted on DX cluster but no return...
I watched 6m SSB before noon then portable station was heard good. I worked with JI3HPQ/3 Doi-san from Kishiwada city at 0228Z and JM3QIS/3 Ukeba-san from Sumoto city at 0237Z. After that I watched TV till evening... I watched 6m SSB again so JJ2FHT Araki-san was very strong and worked him at 0901Z. He lives in Kuwana city, near my countryside, and uses 7element Yagi stuck. He could work with many 1 area stations. I felt envious for that.
I found 8J1RL on DX cluster and QSO at 0950Z on 15m CW. Then I went to 40m and found HL5NLQ Kang very strong CW signal and QSO at 1008Z. He lives in Pohang and using K3 and 500W ! That's why he send a very good signal to JA. It was a lonely Sunday because my wife Rumi was absense...
24th Aug.
It was a vacation for saving electricity but we couldn't accomplish shipment if no work. I had to go to work...I went out from factory at 0800Z and went to Sakae for dating with my wife. I hardly date my wife on work day so it was a fun for us.
After going back to my home, I watched 17m CW and found EA1DR Oscar and worked with him at 1301Z. Then I could work with LZ1QI Petko on 17m CW at 1305Z.
27th Aug.
It was a Saturday but I promised business partner in morning so I went to work like work day... I went back at 0800Z but very tired. I watched TV but not intersting for me. I watched 15m CW so I found YL2SM Tur and get him at 1119Z. And I watched 17m CW and found EX8AB and worked with him at 1124Z, also found BU100 and QSO at 1127Z. Then I've got to be asleep and go to bed ASAP...

お盆休みも後半だ、昼間は大須に行った。暑いので無線も低調…
クラスタを見ていたらZP6CWが14MHz CWでアップされていたので呼んだら16:00にできた。その後、ちょっとワッチしたらRG20CAが1kHz上で出ていたので呼んだら16:14にできた。その2kHz下でLA5FHAが出ていたので呼んだのだが、これは応答なし。こちらには559で聞こえていたので、できると思ったのだが…残念。

お盆休み最終日、昼間は名駅に出かけた。明日から仕事に復帰だ…
夜になってからクラスタを見ていたらJW/OE9JDV Didiさんが14MHz SSBでアップされていたので呼んだら20:41にQSOできた。案外できるもんだね。その後、21MHzにQSYしてMM0EAXをSSBで呼んだのだが応答なし。少し上にいたUA3PQ Nkcolayさんと22:59にQSO。SSBでも結構できる、も少しSSBもやらんとだめだね。調子に乗ってHZ1BLも呼んでみたが、こちらは23:10～20まで頑張ったのに応答なし。18MHzにQSYしてF6EAZ Chrisさんを見つけたので、呼んだら23:23応答あり。これまた調子に乗ってJY5HXを23:30～47呼び続けたが、完全に敗北。

昨夜から留美たんが実家に戻っていてすることがない。寝る前に18MHzワッチしたらG7EMKがSSBで聞こえてる。できるかなと思い呼んでみたのだが、まったく応答なし。がっくり。
8/21
起きてから21MHzをワッチ、CWでPY2YU Tomさんだけが良く聞こえてる。呼んでみたらすぐに10:47応答あり。サンパウロの近くの方だそうだ。それからSSBでクラスタにアップされてたOX3KQを呼んでみたが、こちらは全く応答なし。
昼前から50MHzを聞いていたら3エリアの移動局が良く聞こえていたのでQSOしました。11:28 JI3HPQ/3 どいさんとSSBでQSO。岸和田市の移動だそうです。続いて11:37 JM3QIS/3 うけばさんとSSBでQSO。洲本市の移動だそうです。昼間は特にすることもなくテレビを見てました。夕刻、50MHzを聞いたらJJ2FHT あらきさんが強い。18:01に呼びました。桑名の方ですが7エレスタックだとかで、1エリアと普通にQSOしてました。いいなぁ。
その後、21MHzにQSY、クラスタにアップされてた8J1RLとCWで18:50にQSOしました。それから7MHzにQSYしてHL5NLQ KangさんとCWで19:08にQSO。この方はPohangからK3 500Wで出ておられるとのこと。なるほど強いはずだよ。留美たんがいないので、さみしい日曜でした。

本当は節電で会社休みだったのだが、昼間は出社。夕方は早めに帰宅して留美たんと栄でデートした。平日デートなんて普段はできないので楽しかったな。
帰宅後に18MHzをワッチ、CWでEA1DR Oscarさんが強かったので22:01にQSO。それからLZ1QI PetkoさんともCWで22:05にQSO。

I could not have time to enjoy radio because of my work, but I've done radio hobby for some time...
15th July
I could watch high bands in easy mind because it was friday night in local time. I worked UA9JPZ Dmitrs on 20m CW at 1303Z. He said that it was 24deg C, I thought Russia was cooler than Japan but not, as same temperature as in Nagoya! Next, I called Z21BB on 15m CW, up on DX cluster, I could get him at 1412Z. It was easy, because his signal was heard frequently in JA? I found a very strong signal on 17m CW, YT1E Rod, I worked him at 1435Z. He said he run kW and using TH11DX great equipment, instead returned report was 559...sigh.
After midnight in JST, 20m band was good this day. I called DL5RJ Josef at 1759Z on 20m CW. He used TS570 100W and Spider Beam, it was first time I've worked using spider, it seemed good for DXing. I heard that it was 20deg C in Munich, even it was a evening time, it was so cool temperature for wearing half sleeve... I could also worked with OZ1CTK on 20m CW at 1814Z.
20th July
Summer vacation of my work was from 16th to 20th July. I went to my wife's countryside, but Typoon No.9 hit that area directly since 18th. So I have immediately returned home planned getting home on 19th. Unfortunately, all the road from Kansai to Nagoya was inhibit to go because of heaby rain around these locations...I parked a car and reserve a hotel room in Otsu at 19th. It was unlucky.
I came home 20th midday and go to relaxation massage in Nagoya. I enjoyed radio a little at night. RN1CR/0 on 20m CW at 1132Z. CX9AU on 40m CW at 1143Z. After night meal, UN7ECA/7 on 20m CW at 1345Z. Oh I have to go to daily work tommorow...
24th July
Sporadic E was open this day in JA. JE8GPW Takahashi san was coming 59+++ on 10m FM. He sounds like local signal on V,UHF. He said he used 4element tribander and 50W. I also used a similar lineup, that means using tribander each other results that kind of good job.
30th July
It was just a past midnight on Sunday in JA. I could find 8J1RL on 30m and call him. I could get him at 1743Z once I called so I submitted him on DX cluster. Surprisingly, he got some pile-up at such a deep night in JA.
31th July
Sporadic E was open this day too. While I dared to call JJ2LPV Sige san on 6m CW in Tajimi, very near Nagoya, at 0420Z. Next JR6HQ/OKA50 Teruya san was found on 6m CW. He was strong 599+ so I called but returned report was 559...alas. Even I run 5W at this time it was sad.
I found JG8NQJ/JD1 on DX cluster that he was in JD1/M ! I called him on 15m SSB and easily coming back my call at 0946Z. He was called so many JAs but I could get him easy, I don't know why.
13th Aug.
2nd summer vacation, Obon, Japanese traditional vacation when people go to their ancestor's cemetery for pray. It was very hot in these days, and I was tired out... I called CQ DX in adjusting microphone gain and processor gain. Suddenly IK4UPI Sant called me loudly on 17m SSB at 0606Z. He used amplifier and 4element monoband Quad so very stable to hear. My signal was weak but readable in Italy.
At night, I worked with 4F9HXB on 30m at 1152Z. After that I watched 40m SSB, YE50S Jeff was good. I called him then calling back me at 1206Z, so I submitted him on DX cluster. He got a pile-up since then. Instead of pile-up he was difficult to hear JA signals because of QRN/QRM in tropical area on lower band as usual.
14th Aug.
It was sunday, but I didn't feel Sunday because of Obon vacation... I went to Osu downtown Nagoya. There is many radio and PC parts and equipment in Osu favorite place to go for me.
In evening time, 6m was open into southwest and I could work with DU7/PA0HIP Willem on 6m CW at 1054Z. 5W was enough to pick me up. After that I found 8J1RL on DX cluster and call him on 17m CW at 1100Z easy. Wintering team in antarctic this year is very active on radio for all band from Showa base so not so many stations call him... I beaming to Eu after that and found SE2I Bert good signal on 17m CW and get him at 1106Z. Next I found VU3KJB Baby 0.5kHz up from Bert and called him 3 times then he pick me up at 1112Z.
I could have summer vacation for 2 weeks but not so much work at radio. It was too hot to enjoy radio and propagation was not so good... I could not get ST0R at all... Now, OJ0UR and TY1KS is active but I cannot do work with them at all...sigh.

金曜日の夜は少しのんびり、ちょっとワッチしてみました。22:03に14MHz CWでUA9JPZ DmitrsさんとQSO。ロシアは涼しいかと思ったが24℃だとか。あまり名古屋と変わりません。続いて21MHz CWでクラスタにあがっていたZ21BBを呼んだら23:12にQSOできました。よく出てくるので呼ぶ人が少ないのかな？更に18MHzをワッチしたらCWでYT1E Rodさんが聞こえていたのでQSO。kWにTH11DXだそうで、とっても強い。帰ってきたレポートは559でした…hi。

金曜日から夜更かし、この季節は夜中のハイバンドが開けます。02:59に14MHz CWでDL5RJ Josefさんを呼びました。TS570 100W+Spider Beamだとか。Spider Beamを使ってると公言する人と初めてQSOしましたが、良く飛びますね。ミュンヘンの気温は20℃だそうで、夕方とはいえ半そでじゃ肌寒いところのようです。さらに、14MHz CWでは03:14にOZ1CTKとQSO。

会社の夏休みが7/16～7/20でしたが、台風直撃くらってほうほうの体で帰宅。本当は7/19帰宅予定だったのだけど、名阪間の道路が全部通行止めになったので、大津で一泊する羽目に・・・
夜にちょっとだけ無線しました。14MHz CWで20:32にRN1CR/0とQSO。7MHz CWで20:43にCX9AUとQSO。食後の22:45にUN7ECA/7と14MHz CWでQSO。明日からまた仕事だ…

Eスポがオープン。29MHz FMでJE8GPW たかはしさんが59+++で入感。まるでVUのローカルQSOと同じです。4エレトライバンダ+50Wだそうです。トライバンダ同士だとローカルQSO並みになるのですね！

土曜日から夜更かし、10MHzで8J1RLが聞こえたので02:43に呼びました。あっけなくできたのでクラスタにアップ。こんな時間なのにちょっとしたパイルになりました。
昼間、Eスポがオープンしています、が、あえて50MHz CWでJJ2LPV SigeさんとQSO。強いと思ったら多治見でした。続いて50MHzでJR6HQ/OKA50が599+だったのでコール。13:40にQSOできました。夕方、クラスタにJG8NQJ/JD1南鳥島があがっています。21MHz SSBで呼んだら、18:46にあっけなく一発でQSO。パイルにはなってましたが、近場だからねぇ。

盆休み、暑くてぐったりです。昼下がりに18MHz SSBでTS590のマイクゲインとプロセッサ調整がてらCQを出したら15:06にIK4UPI Santoさんから呼ばれてしまいました。相手はアンプ+4エレQuadだそうで、とっても安定して聞こえます。こちらの信号は弱かったようですが、なんとか取ってもらえるレベルだったようです。
夜は10MHzで20:52に4F9HXBとQSO。その後7MHzをワッチしたらYE50S JeffさんがSSBで強力だったので呼んでみたら何とか21:06にコールバックあり。クラスタにアップしたら早速パイルになってました。だけど、熱帯地帯のローバンドの常で、こちらにはよく聞こえるのだけど、向こうはノイズかQRMがきついらしく取ってもらうのは難しいようでした。

日曜日ですが、お盆なので日曜日って感じがしない。昼間は大須にでかけてました。日が暮れてから50MHzがオープンとのことでクラスタにあがったDU7/PA0HIP Willemさんを19:54にCWでコール。5Wでも十分にできました。その後、クラスタにあがっていた8J1RLを18MHz CWでコールしたら一発で応答あり。今年の越冬隊はアクティブなので、あまり呼ばれなくなっているのかな。その後、アンテナをEuに向けたらSE2I Bertさんが強力に聞こえたので20:06に呼びました。つづけて0.5kHz上でVU3KJB Babyさんを見つけたのでコール、3回ほどコールしたら取ってもらえました。
連休が2回あった割には無線やれていません。暑くてやる気がしないのと、コンディションが今一つだったのが敗因か。ST0Rなんかまったくやれませんでしたよ。今もOJ0URとかTY1KSとか賑やかだけどできないもんね。

金曜日の夜は少しのんびり、ちょっとワッチしてみました。22:03に14MHz CWでUA9JPZ DmitrsさんとQSO。ロシアは涼しいかと思ったが24℃だとか。あまり名古屋と変わりません。続いて21MHz CWでクラスタにあがっていたZ21BBを呼んだら23:12にQSOできました。よく出てくるので呼ぶ人が少ないのかな？更に18MHzをワッチしたらCWでYT1E Rodさんが聞こえていたのでQSO。kWにTH11DXだそうで、とっても強い。帰ってきたレポートは559でした…hi。

金曜日から夜更かし、この季節は夜中のハイバンドが開けます。02:59に14MHz CWでDL5RJ Josefさんを呼びました。TS570 100W+Spider Beamだとか。Spider Beamを使ってると公言する人と初めてQSOしましたが、良く飛びますね。ミュンヘンの気温は20℃だそうで、夕方とはいえ半そでじゃ肌寒いところのようです。さらに、14MHz CWでは03:14にOZ1CTKとQSO。

会社の夏休みが7/16～7/20でしたが、台風直撃くらってほうほうの体で帰宅。本当は7/19帰宅予定だったのだけど、名阪間の道路が全部通行止めになったので、大津で一泊する羽目に・・・
夜にちょっとだけ無線しました。14MHz CWで20:32にRN1CR/0とQSO。7MHz CWで20:43にCX9AUとQSO。食後の22:45にUN7ECA/7と14MHz CWでQSO。明日からまた仕事だ…

Eスポがオープン。29MHz FMでJE8GPW たかはしさんが59+++で入感。まるでVUのローカルQSOと同じです。4エレトライバンダ+50Wだそうです。トライバンダ同士だとローカルQSO並みになるのですね！

土曜日から夜更かし、10MHzで8J1RLが聞こえたので02:43に呼びました。あっけなくできたのでクラスタにアップ。こんな時間なのにちょっとしたパイルになりました。
昼間、Eスポがオープンしています、が、あえて50MHz CWでJJ2LPV SigeさんとQSO。強いと思ったら多治見でした。続いて50MHzでJR6HQ/OKA50が599+だったのでコール。13:40にQSOできました。夕方、クラスタにJG8NQJ/JD1南鳥島があがっています。21MHz SSBで呼んだら、18:46にあっけなく一発でQSO。パイルにはなってましたが、近場だからねぇ。

盆休み、暑くてぐったりです。昼下がりに18MHz SSBでTS590のマイクゲインとプロセッサ調整がてらCQを出したら15:06にIK4UPI Santoさんから呼ばれてしまいました。相手はアンプ+4エレQuadだそうで、とっても安定して聞こえます。こちらの信号は弱かったようですが、なんとか取ってもらえるレベルだったようです。
夜は10MHzで20:52に4F9HXBとQSO。その後7MHzをワッチしたらYE50S JeffさんがSSBで強力だったので呼んでみたら何とか21:06にコールバックあり。クラスタにアップしたら早速パイルになってました。だけど、熱帯地帯のローバンドの常で、こちらにはよく聞こえるのだけど、向こうはノイズかQRMがきついらしく取ってもらうのは難しいようでした。

It was within a "Golden Week", holiday season in Japan, I was not asleep at night and work some QSO...
Propagation of 20m was good through a night time in JA, I could work with UQ50P at 1505Z, UQ50L at 1546Z, M0UNN at 1849Z, LZ855SRKM at 1927Z, K4PB at 1947Z, SV5PFC at 2021Z, LZ2011KM at 2035Z, all on CW.
2nd May
In a daytime, 6m was good for pacific. I worked with VK4MA at 0646Z on CW, and 9M6XRO at 0935Z on SSB.
5th May
I heard high band in daytime, I worked with JT1KAA at 0616Z on 17m CW, RP66D at 0641Z on 15m CW. At night, I worked some on 17m CW, LZ11RF at 1325Z, RP66O at 1400Z, LZ66P at 1430Z, GR3TXF at 1556Z. GR is a special prefix for a royal wedding. I was late for this night, working on 20m CW with EX2A at 1848Z, PA1CC at 1550Z. It was not good for my health...

I worked with 10m CW at evening in JA, V85/9M6XRO at 0809Z, 9M2ZAK at 0812Z, JD1BLY at 0815Z.

I only worked with BV100 at 0532Z on 12m CW. I stay in home special holiday due to a lack of parts in our factory by devastating quake in east Japan... It was a dull holiday for me...

I came home earlier than usual because it was a Friday. I worked with LA8IG Knut at 1141Z on 17m CW, even his equipment is 100W and Windom, we can work good QSO each other.(here 50W and HB9CV)
25th May
I went for a business trip and came home very earlier than usual, and wife did not come home yet, I enjoyed radio. Sporadic E was good on 6m so I can work with RN0JJ Eugene at 1015Z on SSB. But no one was heard on 6m... Then I was calling CQ on 15m for Eu, many station called me. UA4AMT Alex at 1023Z, RX6LCQ Mike at 1035Z, LY2PZ Gene at 1043Z, UA9MHN Alex at 1053Z, UY3QT Alex at 1101Z, UA4PNT Leo at 1104Z, UA1HY Yuri at 1107Z. At first, I have exchanged not only name and report but equipment and weather, but little pileup has occurred in a way of these QSOs, finally I have exchanged only name and report... It was a very good propagation day because some of these stations used 100-200W and dipole and I used 50W and 4el tribander. At last calling breaks so I was QSY to 20m and calling VP5/W5CW, up on DX cluster, I can easily work with him at 1125Z on CW. QSO in a workday was good !! Then I went to 17m and worked with LA6KOA Tor at 1134Z on SSB. It was a really good day because even I could work Eu station with SSB ! Finally I found OA1F on DX cluster and worked at 1146Z on 30m.

It was a day of WPX CW but I worked with only 7QSOs. I was very tired on this weekend...
5th June
Sunday afternoon, sporadic E was good. I could work with BD4CZX Zhu at 0322Z on 6m SSB. After that, P29CW at 0337Z and 8N6KR8AA at 0347Z on 12m CW. I returned 6m and worked with JA6WFM Hiro at 0353Z.
10th June
I came home earlier than usual because it was Friday. Sporadic E was good. I could work on 6m with JS6RLV Kura at 1002Z on CW and BV100 at 1015Z on SSB. After that, 9M2/KM9D at 1037Z on 20m CW.
11th June
I woke up morning on Saturday, usually I could not wake up because of I was so tired... I worked with YB0AKM Kazuo at 0045Z on 12m CW. I did not recognize that he is Japanese till I have exchanged our name. After that, 8N650HAM at 0059Z on 12m CW.
I was not asleep and worked YP1WFF at 1615Z on 17m CW, 8J1RL at 1752Z, 6M0V/5 at 1916Z, 9M2/KM9D at 1920Z all on 30m. After that, CX7CO at 1951Z on 20m CW, UT8IA at 2006Z on 30m. Finally, 8J400MK/4 at 2032Z on 40m SSB. I was crazy at this night...why I was not asleep till morning...

I bought TS590S at Osu, Nagoya. It was a new rig since I bought JST245 at 1994. So I used TS590S for DXing and FT817 for domestic QSO since then.
I worked with RA4HMT/4 Andy at 1601Z on 20m CW.

It was Friday, I came home early. I called W1ESE at 1222Z on 40m CW.
18th-19th June
AA CW. I attended all band low power and result was 183QSO, 442Points, and 73Multi. I could not be called by CQ TEST while I could have returned for my call. Propagation was in limbo these days...

Day of Japanese domestic contest (6m&Down), I attended 6m singleband CW. The result was 76QSO and 29multi... that was about half score of last year...
After a contest, I solder up a harness of a microphone connector for Kenwood TS590S, then I called very strong YC8AHH at 0901Z on 15m SSB. It was good anyway. After that, I called SM1TDE Eric at 1040Z on 17m CW. Just after I changed into 20m, I found CQ of 8J1RL and QSO at 1044Z on CW. I have posted it on DX cluster then heavy pile up for him... Then I found BV100 good signal on SSB and call him at1057Z with FT817 5W, I could returned my call from him easily with 4el tribander. I also called 6M23 at 1358Z on 40m CW, I do not know what is this call in Korea? Finally I called JW/DG5NFF on 20m SSB and could get back my call at 1406Z. I wonder how he can pick up my weak signal, 50W SSB...
